Scholarship Program 2017

The ISSRP has instituted a scholarship fund to encourage participation of students with insufficient personal or institutional funding. A sum of € 1000,00 will be awarded to supplement travel, tuition and stay of a limited number of candidates, while attending the renal pathology school. There will be from a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 3 fellowships available each year to be distributed according to merit. However, no more than one fellowship per continent will be awarded each year (Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, America).

The ISSRP organizers invite students to apply for this funding by submitting the following by April 1st, 2017 to qualify for the session in July 2017:

a) Curriculum vitae;

b) Copy of notification of full payment received for registration to the ISSRP 2017;

c) A personal letter from the student requesting the funding with reasons and available funds;

d) A letter of recommendation from your supervisor or mentor (for trainees only);

Application for fellowship procedure

  2. Application submission will be followed by email from ISSRP of notification of received fellowship application.
  3. If awarded, an email of notification of fellowship awarded will be generated by June 1st, 2017.
  4. If fellowship is not awarded to applicant an email of notification of rejection will be generated as well.

Travel Grants
TheThe ERA-EDTA offers EUR 1,500 for Travel Grants for young participants (40 years old or younger). Young persons who are interested in applying to receive this Grant will have to download the application form available on the “NDT-Educational” Website CLICK HERE, fill it in and submit it together with their curriculum vitae and a copy of their picture ID to the ERA-EDTA Operative Headquarters. The travel grant Winners will receive an official notification from the ERA-EDTA Operative Headquarters and, after the Course, a bank transfer for the due amount. IMPORTANT! The 1,500 € for travel grants will NOT be transferred to the course organisers.
Travel grants (independently from the mileage) also include a one-year free ERA-EDTA membership (Junior membership) for doctors who have never been members of ERA-EDTA.
Both the Grant and the ERA-EDTA Junior memberships will be granted only afterthe verification of the actual participation in the CME Course.
The amount of the Travel Grant is calculated taking into consideration the travel distance of the actual country of residence from the country where the CME is held:
-  500 € - over 750 km
-  350 € - between 500 and 750 km
-  250 € - between 300 and 500 km
-  100 € - between 150 km and 300 km
-   50 € - within 150 km

ERA-EDTA memberships
Moreover, the course organizer can give up to 5 1-year free ERA-EDTA memberships Junior membership - (but no travel grant) to the best course participants, following the test’s results, provided that they are younger than 40 and have never been members of the ERA-EDTA before.
